After spending a lot of money on traditional landscape lighting only to discover a couple years later that half of the lights were not working primarily due to cut wires etc. I started looking for high-quality solar lights without wires, transformers etc. I could not find anything other than cheap plastic fixtures that definitely did not look very good and probably would not last very long. I hired an engineering firm to do the technical specifications and over about 3 years, tested various models etc. In my opinion, the outcome is a great-looking, high-quality fixture.
